Operation Christmas Child 2012

It's time for Operation Christmas Child, when each of us is given the opportunity to demonstrate Christ's love by packing and sending gift filled shoe boxes to children in need. For those of you who don't have any empty shoe boxes, or don't like gift wrapping, you'll be able to build your own colorful shoeboxes by using the supplies found on the table in the church lobby. Feel free to take as many boxes as you'll need. Packed shoe boxes are due in the church lobby no later than Sunday, November 18, 2012.

Revival Services

Revival services will be held at New Fairview, September 16-19, 2012 with Jim Hardenbrook of Edinburg, Virginia. The theme for these services is "Hard Sayings of Jesus" covering Matthew 8-28.

Registration has begun for the 2012 New Fairview Pictorial Directory. You can register in the lobby each Sunday through July 22, 2012, before and after Church, or you can register online at:

Dr. Musa Mambula

Nigerian Church of the Brethren Pastor, Dr. Musa Mambula and his wife Sarah, will be at New Fairview Church on Wednesday, May 23, 2012.

Dr. Mambula is spiritual advisor for the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria. He is a man who because of his loyalty to Christ and the church has had his life threatened and his home destroyed.

He is a powerful speaker and we are honored to have him share with us. You are invited to a 6:00 p.m. carry in meal and the Mambulas will be showing their pictures and sharing with us at 7:00 p.m.

Vacation Bible School 2012

At Sky VBS, kids (pre-school - grade 5) imagine what it would be like to bounce among the clouds, soar with eagles, and reach for the stars. The Bible comes to life in new and powerful ways as kids explore why nothing is impossible with God. Through every experience, kids find that they can trust God. The Lifelighters' class is planning a movie night for Sunday, April 22, featuring "Courageous". Doors open for food and fellowship at 6:00 pm, and the movie presentation begins at 6:45 pm.
